Moving forward, any time I had an issue, they fell back on the same canned response of “we have 21 business days to deliver” instead of ever addressing the other issues I was having a problem with, and there were many: No one would return my calls or emails, I wasn’t told who had my things, the lady they assigned to me was rude and hostile every time she did answer the phone, I was lied to about where my things were (they kept saying I had 21 days and my stuff was in a warehouse in New Jersey swearing they had just got off the phone with the movers to confirm even two days AFTER my things were delivered), when a third party I knew nothing about called me about my things Budget promised to find out who they were as I had no idea but never heard ack from them, and they never gave the movers my address after confirming the information was sent over. It was also never explained to me until well after what I thought was the delivery date that this was not the date they would deliver but the first day in a 21 business day delivery. When I tried to get more information I was given a phone number with no details. At no point was it explained to me in my initial call that they were a broker and would be farming my moving out to a different company. I used Budget Van Lines to move from the East to the West Coast. All in all, I would say this company is okay but it is very frustrating when Budget and the company they chose to contract with constantly play the blame game and make it hard for the consumer to know who to believe. Hard worker and unloaded most himself (even thought we offered to help). Arrived earlier than end of week as they had projected, which is great.

Not sure what happened but all of a sudden I hear from Jason with Budget and the driver calls and is on his way with our belongings. Update: I have upgraded my review to 3 stars.
BUDGET VAN LINES UPDATE
Depending on how this plays out over the next week I will update whether my 2 stars stays the same or changes. Now I guess she will start without her supplies and tell them we are waiting for Budget Van Lines and United Moving Solutions to get their act together and get my stuff delivered. Following the time frame they gave me it was reasonable to expect it to be here before school starts. My daughter is a school teacher and a good portion of the stuff in the load is her teaching supplies. You can’t convince me they don’t have some idea when they will be arriving with our furniture. They know when the truck is planned to leave and they know how many stops they have to make. We have waited the 21 business days as indicated in our paperwork, but now I just want my stuff. Frankly, I am tired of United Moving Solutions blaming Budget and Budget saying it’s United Moving Solutions. She then said yes there were delays this week so we are loading now. It was United Moving Solutions and the exact same number I called today. When I asked about what they told me on Monday she said well that must have been Budget Van Lines. I called just now for an update and they told me my stuff is just now today being loaded and it will be here sometime next week. I called United Moving Solutions on Monday because my friendly Budget guy stopped calling me back or responding to emails and they said truck being loaded and should be here end of week. I contacted my friendly Budget rep a couple weeks ago and was told 21 business days would take me to July 23.
Should have known then how this would turn out.
The first time I realized maybe there is an issue is when the carrier they contracted with to actually move my stuff United Moving Solutions said well Budget will tell you that but it takes longer than they say. Then I got a call from another Budget person who also had a direct line to call and get assistance. I could call the same person back directly and they would answer. Disappointed.and don't have my stuff :(Īt first I was excited about using Budget.
